DADS - Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics department

The Aeroelasticity and Structural Dynamics Department (DADS) specializes in model vibration analysis.


To develop, adapt, evaluate and apply theoretical, numerical and experimental methods for modeling, predicting, optimizing and identifying the static and dynamic behavior of structures in their environment structure/fluid/thermal/control coupled systems).

Research is conducted with the aim of improving performances, predicting and increasing safety and finding solutions to problems of comfort and the environment.

The areas of expertise are defined by the following main scientific topics:

  • designing, dimensioning and mechanically optimizing structures
  • technological development of new concepts for aerospace structures
  • dynamics and vibrations of structures including hydro-elasticity
  • rapid dynamics, crash, impact
  • aero-elasticity
  • vibro-acoustics
